The Leadership Journey is a 15-hour program that aims to develop Transformational Leaders who inspire and empower others for the good of their community. Participants of the Leadership Journey program will walk away with an enhanced understanding of their personal strengths, tangible life skills for effective team collaboration, an awareness of the value of versatility, clarity of mission, and a plan for effecting positive change in their organization and/​or community.

The Leadership Journey accomplishes the following objectives:

  • To enhance individual self-awareness through an understanding of personal and team strengths. 
  • To build enduring leaders who exercise values-based decision making and positively impact their communities. 
  • To foster collaboration, develop individual leadership and life skills, and provide a way for participants to pay it forward’ as they work in service of their community. 

Strengths Focus

  • Participants will discover their top five strength themes according to the Clifton Strengths assessment and learn to leverage their own talents and those of their group to develop and lead a strengths-based team.

Values-Based Leadership

  • Participants will engage in activities that help them clarify their core values and craft personal mission statements. They will learn to apply these concepts to their daily life by using a values-based decision making model.

For the Good…

  • Participants will leverage their leadership skills to create and pitch a project that will benefit their community. They will work with their peers to brainstorm, develop and implement their project.

Program Logistics:

The Leadership Journey is 15 clock hours of in-person learning developed for teams of various sizes. The 15-clock hours can be completed over a long weekend.
